I’m so happy to share this free crochet pattern with you today! This Triangle Print Fingertip Towel is made using the flat tapestry crochet technique. However, instead of working off a graph, I have written the entire pattern out line by line! The result is a stunning fingertip towel that will look great in any kitchen or bath.
If you are not familiar with tapestry crochet, it is a technique where you work with multiple colors of yarn across each row to create a graphic design. This pattern uses two colors in each row. At any point, one color will be “in use” while the second color is carried along by working over it.
I have previously shared other free tapestry crochet towel patterns here and here. The tapestry crochet technique produces a fabric that has the same pattern on both the front and the back of your work.

Repeat rows 3 – 17 four more times. Fasten off taupe.
Border:
With ivory, ch 1, 1hdc in same st and in each st along top of towel, 2 hdc in corner, hdc evenly down the side of the towel, 2 hdc in corner, 1 hdc in each st along bottom of towel, 2 hdc in corner, hdc evenly up remaining side of towel, place last hdc in same st as first hdc and sl st to first hdc. (I put 58 hdc’s on each long side.
While you could certainly use more or fewer stitches, I found this number gave my towel the straight rectangular shape I wanted to achieve without blocking). Fasten off ivory.
With taupe, ch 1 and sc in same st, *ch 3, sl st into the 1st ch, skip a st, sc in the next st; repeat from * around each side of towel, ending with a sl st to beginning sc. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
